The common symptoms are skin redness and itchiness. Always be mindful of the surrounding allergens that will worsen their condition. Check the possible affected areas regularly, including the front paws, hind legs, eyes, snout, ears, chest, belly and butt.
If your doggy has the above symptoms, these caring tips are specially written for you. (∩^o^)⊃━☆ﾟ.*･｡
4 TIPS to reduce Atopic Dermatitis (AD)
1. Dog hair is important for protection. Don't shave‼
Although AD is a genetic skin allergy, there could be more than one allergen that triggers the allergy reaction. Possible allergens include chemical-based shampoos, dust mite, pollen, food, bacteria/germ, and parasitic arachnids. Since these allergens can be found everywhere, it's hard to fully prevent our furkids from exposing to them. Dog hair is their first line of defence. It will block allergens from the outside and prevent them from injuring themselves while scratching. Therefore, they'll lose protection from their hair coats if we shave them. σ(´∀｀*)
2. Adding fish oil to their daily diet
Fish oil is one of the greatest sources of omega-3 fatty acids(EPA &DHA). It helps to reduce inflammatory responses and improve skin health. Other than keeping their skin bright and healthy, omega-3 promotes brain development too! That having been said, fish oil should be consumed within the recommended dosage. Overfeeding might reduce blood clotting and increase the risk of bleeding. Make sure you asked for advice from the vet or the supplement provider before feeding it to furkid.

3. Improves the frequency of bathing
It is recommended to bathe your dog at most once per week. However, if your dog is suffering from AD, shower them around 1~2 times per week to wash away the allergens. By hook or by crook, furparents should ask the vet's advice for the ideal frequency of showering based on furkids' skin condition ( • ̀ω•́ )
