Doggy Skin Is Different From Human

Must-Know Dog Fact | How well do you know your doggy's skin?

Even-though doggies are our best friends, but you can't use human products on them because their skin structure is not the same!ヽ(✿゚▽゚)ノ

Here's Why They're DIFFERENT

Doggy Skin Is Different From Human

1. The pH value of skin

Human skin pH ranges from 5.2 ~ 6.2, whereas doggy's skin has a pH value of 5.5 ~ 7.5. Although the difference might not be huge, but their delegate skin pH will be disrupted if we use human shampoo on them in long-term. Once their skin pH balance is ruined, bacteria will grow and lead to skin diseases. _(°ω°」 ∠)

2. Epidermal thickness of skin

Doggies' skin is 3x times thinner than human skin. Since their skin is thinner, they can't withstand the strong cleaning effect of human shampoos.  Using human shampoo in long-run will cause dry skin and some dogs might even scratch till bleeding due to the itchiness.

3. Skin growth cycle

A dog epidermis has a shorter turnover rate of 20 days compare to human's 28 days. This explains why doggy's skin is even thinner than the human baby.ξ( ✿>◡❛)
